What does the process of working with us look like? How do we work together to create a seamless process that gets your required repair done as quickly as possible?

In this article, I’m going to answer those questions for you, and share with you the process we take you through to deliver your custom engineering package that outlines exactly how we will make your repairs.

Discuss problems

When we first meet, we’ll talk about any of the problems you have had or are having. This could be around a tank, or you might be looking for a way to upgrade your safety equipment outside of a turnaround.

We will see what you’ve already tried. It’s still very common for us to get a call after all other attempts to stop leaks or install handrails for example, have failed.

We will gather technical information from you. If you’re looking at Forge Bonding™ for a tank repair, we will want the information around the process that’s in the tank.

Is it flammable? We’ll also want to know what kind of metal the tank is made out of. How big is it? What are the temperatures and pressures involved?

Then we’ll ask you about any other parameters we are dealing with, such as how soon you need it done, and how long you want it to last. What kinds of obstacles are in the way? Is it congested with other piping or valves?

Once we have this information, it’s time for the next step.

Design And Analysis

Now we’ll see if we can come out and take some measurements. This way we can see exactly what we’re dealing with and can take any measurements around machinery or obstacles in our path.

Sometimes accessing the work area can be difficult, so that’s something we have to consider.

And sometimes we can’t go out. If you’re on the other side of the world or in another country, we will ask you to get all these details for us.

Sometimes we’ll send you drawings indicating what measurements we actually need so that we can get the accurate information we need to start the engineering process.

Once all the measurements are complete and the necessary data is obtained, we turn it over to our engineers who perform the design and the analysis.

Using that information, we put together an estimate that will have the price in it. Then you can decide whether you want us to come in and perform the work.

An alternative is that we do have licensees for our technology, where technicians from other companies(or yours) will perform the work with Forge Bonding™. With the engineering package designed for your job, they’ll know exactly what they need to do to move forward.

No Shutting Down

The Engineering Package we design for you has all the exact specifications of what is required to complete your job so that you know exactly what you’re getting if you choose to work with us.

The costs for your repairs that you will see in these packages will often be a bit higher than completing the work with welding, in a vacuum.

But since you won’t have to shut down to repair a leak or install a handrail with Forge Bonding™, you’ll be saving hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars by keeping your processes moving.
